Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work in all office administration functions, specifically in the areas of finance, travel, supply, personnel, facilities, equipment, personal property, processes, purchase card, and shipping/receiving. This position is located in Port Hueneme, CA at Naval Base Ventura County.
Responsibilities:
- Complete administrative support duties, including but not limited to making travel arrangements, gathering and disseminating tasks, creating and maintaining trackers, preparing correspondence scheduling appointments and meetings.ms in worker-flow, work methods, and procedures to improve organization effectiveness.
- Maintain master recall information, manage technical training requirements, schedule training, and provide onboarding support.
- Responsible for office management to include but not limited to mail receiving/sending/distribution, ordering and maintaining office supplies, ensure tidy and efficient working and common spaces, maintain displays and bulletin boards.
- Manage all property assigned to the technical area, updating maintenance records, conducting periodic inventories, disposing of excess property, and obtaining releases for lost/stolen property.
- Provide purchase card support for equipment, supplies, and services.
Position Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a similar role or a Bachelor's degree in any field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Government Purchase Card and Travel laws, regulations, and policies.
- Strong IT knowledge with Enterprise Resource Planning and DoD IT program experience
- Strong written/oral communication skills
Federal Employment Requirements:
- US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
- Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
- Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
